If you want your treatment to be reimbursed by your insurance provider, you will need a referral from your general practitioner and a DSM diagnosis. Your GP will check with you whether there may be cause for a DSM diagnosis. If your GP writes a referral letter for this, your intake with us will, in any case, be reimbursed. During the intake, our practitioner examines whether your issues further qualify for reimbursement of psychological care.

Lijn 1 Psychologenpraktijk has contracts with most health insurance providers, and treatments are typically fully reimbursed for most of our clients. At the end of this page, we give you an overview of the insurers we currently work with and the rates they charge. You can also contact your insurance provider for further information.
Are you taking on your own risk? In 2025, the compulsory deductible for every health insurance policy is set at €385. This deductible applies to all insured persons as of the age of 18.

Basic GGZ

The practice’s offerings fall under the generalist Basic Mental Health Care (GGZ). This is psychological help for people with mild to moderate psychological problems. Short-term care aimed at development is offered. The duration of treatment depends on the diagnosis, the severity of the complaints and the personal circumstances. During the intake interview we will discuss how long the treatment will take and whether your symptoms are covered by insured care.

Care Performance Model

Your treatment consists of several parts. For example, an intake/diagnostic consultation, treatment session or group session. In the care performance model, all these separate components fall under care performance. The healthcare services are on the invoice that we send to you or your insurance provider. This clarifies for which care components you or your insurance provider will pay. You can see exactly who you spoke to during which session and how much time has been charged for this. On average, you receive your bill one month after your session.

In the care performance model, your practitioner defines the type of care you’ll receive and information about that care. Your practitioner can use this, for example, when drawing up your treatment plan. The type of care does not determine the price of your treatment. That’s down to the care performance. Sometimes the practitioner will re-evaluate the type of care needed during your treatment to make the change clear. The type of care is stated on your invoice.

No show

Please note:
If you need to cancel your appointment, you must do so 24 hours in advance. In case of a no show, the time reserved for you will be charged at a rate of EUR 65. A no-show appointment is not reimbursed by your insurance provider.

The rates are set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). We have put down the most commonly used rates below. A complete list can be found here.

Lijn 1 Psychologenpraktijk receives a percentage between 80% and 88%, depending on the contract agreements we have with a given insurance provider. After your consultation/session, the invoice will be submitted to your insurance provider, who will then reimburse our practice directly. .

Uncontracted care

If you are insured by a provider with whom we do not have a contract or you want to pay for it yourself, we will send the invoice for your treatment to you at home. From there, you can ask your insurance provider for reimbursement. This is part of the total costs, but the amount depends on your insurance provider and what kind of policy you hold. We use the rates of the NZa stated above to determine the cost of uncontracted care. We advise you to consult your insurance provider about reimbursement options before starting the treatment.

Uncompensated care
For care that is not reimbursed by basic insurance, the NZA rate for the ‘non-basic package care consultation’ service applies, namely €138.15. This rate is charged per 60 minutes, of which 45 minutes live contact and 15 minutes reporting.
